Drones, Maps, and Plant Conservation: Surveying and Mapping the Rugged Cliffs of Kauai

The North American Cartographic Information Society recently held their annual meeting in the Pacific Northwest. At this year’s conference there were a number of drone-related presentations. We will share some of our favorites in the coming weeks, starting with this talk about how drone technology is giving Hawaii’s National Tropical Botanical Garden the ability to survey difficult-to-reach vertical surfaces for the first time.
